Art WeMe Contemporary Gallery is honored to present “TWILIGHT – Nicholas Choong Solo Exhibition” at Pavilion Elite Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition features Nicholas Choong’s latest “Cityscapes” series that the artist shares his perspective of huminitic care in a fast-changing city like Kuala Lumpur. As a Kuala Lumpur native, Nicholas Choong has experienced old and new cityscape exchanging time after time. Although shops and houses have been replaced by skyscrapers, people remain same, working hard to survive and thrive in the city.
People who live in this city is matter. Neighbors show empathy and mercy while the COVID-19 Pandemic and nature disasters, helping each other to get through difficulties. Nicholas Choong states “The new cityscape embodies this story of humanity and resilience. Never forget your roots. We all live on this pale blue dot with tremendous healing, caring, and belief in the impossible. Listen, be quiet. accept it.”
