Lau Wai Leng is well-known as a figurative artist, and painting Malaysian scenes is her forte. Depicting her interest in “colourful Malaysia”, she often uses bright colours and local elements as her inspirations. One of her most popular works is a series of paintings that illustrate the vibrant culture of Malaysian women at wet markets.

Completed her Diploma in Fine Art from the Academy of Art in 1998, Wai Leng’s passion for art has led her to take part in many group exhibitions and this is her fourth solo exhibition. Throughout the years, her works have been gaining increasing popularity and becoming a favourite among many art enthusiasts around the globe.
