Wang Zhi Wu is well-known by personifying animals in his paintings. Animals in Wang’s paintings have cartoon-liked shapes. Their images mix with different animals’ appearances. Every protagonist in his paintings is mostly from his imagination.

For Wang, illustrating the actual outlooks of animals is not the main theme in his paintings. Those animals represent freedom, innocence or simple life.
