Stepping into the digital world, historical conventions are gradually disappearing. The artist’s artworks highlight her unforgettable memory of old times from exploring her family background and living experiences based on her subjective view. Chen’s artworks are mainly based on still life concept to present historical buildings in the Hsinchu area, Taiwan in a creative way. She also applies realism and surrealism in her paintings which depict historical buildings delicately in imaginary backgrounds.

在这个讯息丰富、变化万千的现代，生活中所见到的一切不断的推陈出新，有许多古老的、传统的东西已逐渐的消失，因此艺术家陳秀雯的创作本着对旧时光的难忘的生活回忆，从自身的情感出发，以自我的生长环境及生活经验作为创作的题材，试图将台湾新竹地区的传统建筑，以静物画的形式或以静物与环境结合的方式来做一种另类的表现。同时她也从乡土写实艺术及超写实主义中提取创作的能源，应用在绘画当中。透过精致的写实，描绘出台湾传统建筑。
