Playground of Dreams brings together two Yogyakarta-based artists, Hario Gembel Kurniawan and Ary Kurniawan, in a joyful and immersive celebration of imagination. Though their visual languages differ, both artists share an unyielding belief in the power of play, colour, and story to reconnect us with the purity of our inner selves.
Together, the works of Hario and Ary form a dynamic conversation between fantastical invention and heartfelt introspection. Playground of Dreams is not simply an exhibition; it is an invitation to wander freely between worlds—one where impossible creatures roam, and another where colors carry whispers of our own hidden stories. In this shared space, we are reminded that imagination is not a privilege of youth, but a timeless bridge to joy, empathy, and understanding.
