KIMOZ
Adit, also known as Kimoz (b. 1991, Palembang, Indonesia), is a contemporary artist whose practice bridges graffiti and fine art. Currently based in Yogyakarta after studying at the Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, he developed a visual language that merges the raw energy of street culture with the precision of graphic design.
Kimoz’s works are deeply rooted in the idea of the alter ego, using painting as a space to express inner thoughts, emotions, and subconscious narratives. His compositions often balance playfulness with intensity, reflecting both personal experience and broader human conditions.
Central to his practice is “Pupuh,” a recurring character with enlarged eyes and elongated ears, serving as a symbolic vessel for storytelling. Through this figure, Kimoz explores identity, introspection, and the layered complexities of the self, creating works that are visually striking yet emotionally resonant.
